In reply to robin. Hi Robin. There is a great train connecting Dublin & Galway, and then you could visit the Cliffs from Galway as a day trip. For Belfast, there are long-distance bus services between Dublin & Belfast, or you could visit it as a day trip with a tour provider. As for hiking, you can see the Cliffs of Moher without doing much hiking from the visitors center. It is a paved path with stairs and several look out points.

In reply to Sarah. Hi Sarah. If you don't want to drive at all, then Reykjavik would be the best option as a base. There are LOTS of tour providers running trips out of Reykjavik, so you would have many options of things to do and places to visit. It will mean that you have lots of time back & forth along the same stretch of road, but at least it is beautiful!

Hello,
So glad I stumbled onto your blog. I am planning a trip to Ireland in October. We are flying into Dublin and my musts include Belfast and the cliffs. I’d love to do things as well as see things although my knees aren’t fans of too much hiking. I’d love to take advantage of public transport, especially trains if they are reliable and realistic. I don’t really favor driving. What are your thoughts?

I went to the blue lagoon in 2006 and i don’t think it was as well known as it is now and even then it was still somewhat crazy in terms of price and such. Even back then things like the shower area and such were so crowded. If and when i go back i would definietly try the sky lagoon as i heard from others and read in your article that it is really great.

Hi Megan, this is so useful. thank you. could you possibly advise on a seven day trip in september, including where to stay as a base for somebody who cannot drive? i want to see everything you suggest, but worry its not possible without a car. i am also looking at a private company that does everything for me, like a personal tour guide but this seems expensive. thanks

Great guide for planning a Paris trip! Aside from the Louvre, my favorite buildings to learn about French history are definitely Le Panthéon and Les Invalides. Both are packed with incredible stories and beautiful architecture that really bring the past to life.
